Miss Universe Philippines 2026 took over the SM Mall of Asia Arena on May 2 with a coronation night that felt vibrant and full of standout moments. With BGYO and Jason Dy leading the musical lineup, the show carried a steady rhythm that blended performance and pageantry from start to finish.

BGYO Opened Strong Right Away

BGYO wasted no time setting the tone. Known as the “Aces of P-pop,” the group kicked off the night with “All These Ladies”, bringing clean choreography, solid stage presence, and the kind of confidence that instantly locks in a crowd.

The Miss Universe Philippines 2026 candidates joined the number, moving alongside the performance while keeping their pageant poise front and center. It felt like a proper opening segment where both the performers and candidates shared the stage without competing for attention. It was a strong start that made it clear the night was going to be tight and visually on point.

Jason Dy Delivered for the Live Crowd

While his full performance did not appear on the official livestream, Jason Dy still gave the live audience a moment worth remembering. Known as the “Prince of Soul,” his smooth R&B vocals came through clearly as he performed “Mahal Kita Walang Iba”.

Fans watching online noticed the gap when his segment was skipped, reportedly due to technical and formatting issues during the live broadcast handled by Empire PH. Inside the arena, though, the response was immediate and positive, showing that the performance connected where it mattered most.

The night also saw a few other technical inconsistencies in the livestream, with some audio and segments not fully captured, but the in-venue experience stayed intact.

A Night That Stayed on Track

Hosted by Marina Summers, the show kept a steady flow from start to finish, supported by a strong lineup of segment hosts, including Marco Gumabao, Gabbi Carballo, Rabiya Mateo, Kirk Bondad, Yllana Aduana, Ralph De Leon, Kat Llegado, Swann Lavigne, Veena Praveenar, Jake Cuenca, Sergio Azuaga, Kitt Cortez, and Celeste Cortesi, who guided each portion smoothly.

Even with minor technical issues on the broadcast side, the energy inside the arena remained consistent.

Everything built up to the final moment, where Bea Millan-Windorski of La Union was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2026. She takes over the title from Ahtisa Manalo, who previously placed as 3rd Runner-Up at Miss Universe 2025.

A Coronation Night That Hit the Right Notes

Miss Universe Philippines 2026 delivered a night filled with engaging highlights and memorable moments. BGYO delivered a strong opening that set the pace, while Jason Dy added a more emotional layer for the live audience.

It was a night that left a clear impression even after the final crown was placed.
