SB19 just unlocked another major milestone in Japan! The Kings of P-pop made their Japanese television debut on Thursday, August 13, appearing live on Nippon TV’s DayDay during its DottiDotti segment.
Marking a historic first for P-pop, SB19 became the first P-pop group to guest on a Japanese TV show, bringing their energy, personality, and latest single “LAWLESS” straight to Japanese television.
During the appearance, DayDay introduced SB19 with a special video highlighting the group’s growing global presence. The program presented them as the “national group of the Philippines” and featured their major international milestones, including their historic Lollapalooza performance.
The show also gave Japanese viewers a glimpse of the huge excitement surrounding SB19 back home, showing clips from public watch parties attended by Filipino fans. The massive turnout even prompted one of the hosts to compare the group’s cultural impact to Philippine boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.
SB19 then brought the P-pop heat to the DayDay stage with a live performance of “LAWLESS”, marking the song’s first live performance on Japanese national television. But the members weren’t there to simply perform. They also joined the show’s Japanese hosts for the popular “Rock-paper-scissors hammer” game, giving viewers a fun glimpse of their playful side. The hosts also joined SB19 in learning and performing parts of the “LAWLESS” choreography.
Following the broadcast, SB19 also filmed a dedicated TikTok dance video with the DayDay hosts, extending the fun beyond the live show.
The DayDay appearance arrives as SB19 continues their packed Japan schedule, with the show highlighting their upcoming Summer Sonic 2026 performances in Osaka (August 14) and Tokyo (August 15), followed by their “I WaS There” Thanksgiving Fan Meet in Yokohama.
SB19 has officially opened another door for P-pop in Japan, and they’re already charging toward the next milestone!
