The 7th Village Pipol Choice Awards (VPCA) turned into a full celebration of Filipino music, gathering some of the biggest names in P-pop and OPM at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City on April 29.

With results shaped by a 50/50 split between public votes and editorial judging, the VPCA spotlighted the artists driving today’s music conversations, online buzz, and mainstream entertainment. The event also carried a purpose-driven note, with part of its proceeds benefiting PAWS Philippines.

P-Pop Takes Center Stage

SB19 emerged as one of the night’s biggest winners, taking home Headliner of the Year (Music). Riding the momentum of their Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale, the group continues its global rise with an expanding international footprint that includes ACON 2025 in Taiwan, the D.U.N.K. Showcase 2026 in Japan, and upcoming appearances at Lollapalooza 2026 and Summer Sonic.

BINI followed with another major win, securing P-Pop Group of the Year. Their year has been stacked with milestones—from a historic Coachella 2026 debut and GRAMMY Museum performance to recognition as Global Force at the Billboard Women in Music 2026. With Summer Sonic and their upcoming Signals World Tour, their global run keeps widening fast. BINI Maloi was also recognized as the Female Tiktok Face of the Year.

G22 made waves with their track “Pa-Pa-Pa-Palaban” winning P-Pop Song of the Year, while also building anticipation for their first major solo concert, The Eve of an Alpha, alongside their Rising Star award at the Billboard Philippines Women in Music 2026.

WRIVE continued their breakout momentum after being named Rising P-Pop Group of the Year, steadily carving their place among the genre’s newest names to watch.

The iconic Sexbomb Girls took Group Performer of the Year, fueled by the strong comeback energy of their massive sold-out Get, Get, Aw! reunion concert series that brought nostalgia roaring back into packed live stages.

Adding a global crossover moment, HORI7ON, the all-Filipino P-pop and K-pop fusion boy group, won K-Pop Act of the Year. Their growing international presence includes two nominations at the Seoul Music Awards and participation in the ROUND Festival 2026, further strengthening their position as one of the most visible Filipino acts in the Korean pop circuit.
